Bengal Aroma is a Bangladeshi-Indian family-run restaurant in the heart of Almondbury, just out of the Huddersfield town centre. We are located in the centre of the village in a 350-year-old building. While trying to add vibrancy to our restaurant, we have still kept the features of the original stone walls and elegant wooden beamed ceilings.
We are also Almondbury’s first “bring your own booze” restaurant, allowing our customers to bring their own alcohol as we are un-licensed.
Our restaurant has been decorated to the highest standard to create a warming and comfortable environment for our diners. With special mood lighting, chandeliers and great character from the original walls and ceiling, we think that our restaurant is the ideal place for couples or groups.
We prefer to have a closed kitchen, keeping the hustle and bustle of our busy chefs away from you and your evening. Our attentive waiting staff can advise you when placing your order, and can pass on any special requests to the kitchen – no request has not been heard before, we can combine dishes and manipulate spice for any taste.
At Bengal Aroma, our chefs pride themselves on making every dish not only tasty and perfectly spiced but beautifully presented. All of the dishes on our menu can be made to the desired heat, and we only use fresh ingredients to achieve this.
With a deep-rooted heritage in Bengal, our menu highlights some of our favourite traditional dishes and we highly recommend trying our signature dishes. We also have many seafood options, something which the Bengal region is well known for.
